Explore The Book As Art v.13: Mixed Messages and learn more about this show, which was installed September 12th — October 25th, 2025, on the Fourth Floor of the Decatur Library.
Explore this exhibition, which is coming soon! The Decatur Arts Alliance and the Decatur Land Trust are partnering with the Georgia Center for the Book and the Decatur Library to present the second annual HOME art show, Homeland. The exhibit will be installed in the Fourth Floor Gallery from May 29th — July 18th.
Explore the 36th annual Fine Arts Exhibition, which was open from May 2 — June 13, 2025. This year’s theme is “Cat & Mouse.” The work explores the meaning of the game of “Cat and Mouse” in all its aspects: historical, political, and moral. There was no Fine Arts Exhibition in 2026, but it will return in 2027!

Roadmap to Reading
Every year, a list of books representing the literary heritage of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands is distributed by the Library of Congress’s Center for the Book during the National Book Festival. For 2025, states picked both a Young Readers’ Selection and an Adult Readers’ Selection. The Young Reader’s Selection is The Peanut Man by Carmen Deedy.
